At least 48 people were killed and 30 injured when a water tank collapsed late on Sunday evening at a village fair in Kama town of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.
People from Kama village had gathered to watch a “Kushti Dangal” (wrestling match) organized during “Bhojan Thaali” festival. Around 150 people climbed over Water Tank to watch Wrestling. Suddenly the 25 years old water tank’s roof collapsed pulling people inside the tank.
Around 75 people were rescued by the joint efforts of Government employees present there with the help of local people while 48 were dead and 30 injured.
The Government of Rajasthan has ordered a probe into the incident.
