3865 VILLAGES CONNECTED WITH ROADS IN 33 MONTHS

Jaipur, September 29. Over 12,365 kms. long bitumen roads have been constructed and 3865 villages connected with roads with an estimated cost of Rs.1605 crores under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Project’ in a period of 33 months from December, 2003 to August, 2006 in the state. On an average 12 km. road had been constructed and four villages connected with road per day during the period, whereas 3963 kms. roads had been constructed and 918 villages connected with road with the cost of Rs.502 crores during a period of 36 months from December, 2000 to November, 2003.
