The main steel producers agree to keep prices of steel at reasonable level. This follows an appeal by the Union Minister for Steel, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan that the prices of steel should be kept at a reasonable level to safeguard the interests of the common man in accordance with the UPA’s common minimum programme. A meeting of the Steel producers held under the chairmanship of Shri R. S. Pandey, Secretary, Ministry of Steel here took the following decisions:
