With the beginning of Monsoon rains Bhumi Amla started to grow. It is also known as Bhumi Amalki or Phyllanthus niruri is a herb used in many diseases including inflammation of liver, Hepatitis caused by viruses of Hepatitis A, and Hepatitis B, Jaundice, intestinal infection, diabetes etc.
Traditionally its formulations are used in the recovery of leprosy, bronchitis, asthma and hiccough.
Under Unani system, its fruit is known to be useful for wounds, scabies and ring worm.
