This is a joint venture between the Indian Railways and the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC). The proposed itinerary of the train is as below:
Bangalore – Mysore – Hassan – Hospet – Hubli – Dandeli – Goa – Bangalore.
No time frame has been set for launching of the above train.

Ministry of Railways: FACILITIES TO DISABLED PERSONS
· Standard ramp for Barrier free entry, · Earmarking parking lots for vehicles used by Disabled Persons, · Non-slippery walkway, · Signage, · Toilets, · Water taps suitable for needs of handicapped person, · “May I help You” Booth,
Besides, wheel chairs have been provided at important stations. Regarding inter platform connectivity, trolley paths have been provided at the end of the platforms of important stations which have been authorized for use by handicapped persons on wheel chairs with escorts.
Indian Railways are manufacturing certain passenger coaches, which have a separate compartment specially designed for wheel chair borne passengers. These compartments have facilities like wider door-way, aisle and knee space to permit easy movement of wheel chair,wider berths, toilet adopted to needs of such passengers, arrangements for securing wheel chairs during the journey etc. Some such disabled friendly coaches are already in service. It has been decided to provide one such coach in every mail/express train during next two years.
Disabled friendly coaches bear relevant signage and marking notice on the coach body.
Computerized Passenger Reservation System automatically allots lower berth to the handicapped persons performing their journey on handicapped concessional ticket and middle/upper berths near the handicapped person to the person accompanying them as escort, subject to availability of such berths at the time of booking.
After departure of the train, if there are vacant lower berths available in the train, and if any physically handicapped person booked on the authority of handicapped concessional ticket, who has been allotted upper /middle berth, approaches for allotment of vacant lower berths, the Conductor/Train Ticket Examiner(TTE) has been authorized to allot the vacant lower berth to them making necessary entries in the chart.

The Channels that have been issued this warning are Aaj Tak, Animal Planet, B4U, Balle Balle, Channel V, CNBC TV-18, Discovery, ESPN, ETV Bangla, ETV Kannada, ETV Marathi, ETV-2, HBO, Headlines Today, India TV, MTV, National Geographic, NDTV 24X7, Raj TV, S S Music, SABe TV, Sahara Bihar, Sahara One, Sahara Samay, Set Max, Sony Entertainment, Star Gold, Star Movies, Star One, Star Plus, SUN TV, Tara News, Ten Sports, TEZ, TV-9, Zee Bangla, Zee Café, Zee Gujarati, Zee Marathi, Zee News, Zee Sports, Zee Studio and Zoom.
The scroll to be aired is : “MINISTRY OF INFORMATION & BROADCASTING ISSUES A WARNING TO (NAME) CHANNEL FOR TELECASTING SURROGATE ADVERTISEMENTS OF LIQUOR/TOBACCO PRODUCTS IN VIOLATION OF ADVERTISING CODE. (NAME) CHANNEL REGRETS THIS AND APOLOGIES FOR THE SAME. WE ASSURE TO BE MORE CAREFUL IN FUTURE.”
It had come to the notice of the Ministry that a number of Television channels were airing surrogate advertisements of liquor and tobacco products in violation of Rule 7(2)(viii)(A) of the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994 which read as under:
“No advertisement shall be permitted which promotes diretly or indirectly production, sale or consumption of cigarettes, tobaccor products, wine, alcohol, liquor or other intoxicants.”
Apart from the above, certain objectionable advertisements of undergarments were also found to have been telecast which were indecent, vulgar and suggestive. Despite a number of show cause notices issued earlier to various Television channels, such advertisements continue to be aired.
