{"id":52,"date":"2006-08-14T09:15:24","date_gmt":"2006-08-14T08:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/citynews.co.in\/index.php\/2006\/08\/14\/new-trades-in-iti\/"},"modified":"2006-08-14T09:15:24","modified_gmt":"2006-08-14T08:15:24","slug":"new-trades-in-iti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citynews.co.in\/?p=52","title":{"rendered":"NEW TRADES IN ITI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Monday, August 14, 2006          13:55 IST<br \/>\nMinistry of Labour &#038; Employment :    Lok Sabha<\/p>\n<p>NEW TRADES IN ITI <\/p>\n<p>National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), A Tripartite advisory body have been set up by Government of India, in the Ministry of Labour &#038; Employment to advice in formulation of training schemes, prescribing course curricula of trades, introduction &#038; deletion of trades under Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) implemented through ITIs. Representative of Central &#038; State Government, Employers &#038; Employees organization are its members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Training under CTS is being offered in 107 trades to meet the skill manpower requirement of industry. The course curricula of the trades are developed\/reviewed regularly with approval of NCVT to take care of technological changes taking place in the country. During the last five years 47 new trades were introduced &#038; course curricula of 18 trades revised. Eleven trades not relevant to industrial need were deleted since 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Trades in ITIs are introduced as per skill requirement of industry. Multi skill courses on modular pattern catering to the need of seventeen industrial sectors have been introduced in ITIs since 2005.
